Evaluation of Production Process

Evaluation of production
What were my roles and responsibility on the day?
During the process of filming, my responsibilities were mainy listening and following instructions carefully; as my original role was sound and lighting, however; there were several times where I acted as a runner, I took orders and passed them onto whoever it was for, whilst on that note, there were also times where I left one of my team members in charge of sound and lighting as there were other tasks I had to tackle such as participating as an interviewee for our VT interview, visiting the Head of Music to request whether or not the potential band we plan on having on the show were still available to perform or not.
In addition to this, I also searched and contacted one of the participants 'Fred Farrell' who was initially supposed to do the voiceover of the competition for the ending of our show, however Fred was unavailable at that particular time so we had to use a member of our team as a subtitute for Fred's position since we didn't have enough time to recruit anyone else.
Strenghts and weaknesses?
I believe during this challenge, my particular strenghts were focusing throughout, working well in a team, listening and following instructions, making sure I was on top of my responsibilities and ensured I didn't panic too much. I think these strengths were beneficial in this exercise otherwise I wouldn't have been able to work as well I did and it probably would have affected other people in the group as it would've distracted them especially if there were any panicking inolved. I personally don't think I had any weaknesses as I helped out with other tasks that needed to be solved, I made sure I stayed busy as well as helping out in both the gallery and the studio.
What happened during the process and what have you learnt in this challenge?
As a group, I think there were times where we worked well as a team because we were all determined to get everything right in all the shots, various people worked hard and applied a lot of effort into their role, though others were confused of what was happening as there was a time were some people thought we were filming when we were only supposed to carry out a run through, some acted unproffessional during that situation and there were also a few people who I believe could have helped out more In terms of when we were struggling towards the end.
However even if we didn't conclude the show as a whole, we've gained the experience needed for this area of Journalism, we are all aware of how much effort, teamwork, hardwork and motivation needs to be included when it comes to the Television inustry; therefore we can take this experience with us and if we ever get an opportunity like this again, we will be more prepared and know how to overcome the challenges.
