My Proposal

     Description of Celebrity Latest

The program we will be pitching is called ‘Celebrity latest’. The show is simply a magazine programme providing the public of all the latest gossip about celebrities. The target age range of this show is aimed at 16-34 year old and to be aired on BBC Three.

Introduction
Celebrity latest is an exciting lively show that focuses on all the latest gossip the public needs to be aware of about their favourite celebrities, it is a vibrant show that will be aimed at 16 -34 year old simply because it’s fresh, fun and includes a wide variety of other features such as fashion, varied topics, sports and many more. In addition to this, the show will also consist of varieties of celebrities and other guest stars to provide us further details of the subject.
The idea of this whole show is to get more people interested in Celeb TV Shows; as we all know more and more people aren’t purchasing magazines anymore as they now tend to visit online where it also happens to be free of charge, however the point of our show is to save the audience the trouble of researching the topic they want to read about as we will already be covering it on our late night show.
The Show
We would like the stimulating show to be broadcast on BBC Three as the channel’s intended audience are individuals’ aged 16 – 34 year olds which is the age range we are also focusing on targeting, furthermore the channel is extremely versatile as it covers all genre from Current Affairs to Drama, to Comedy as well as Animations, therefore we believe this shows would be suited for the channel. To add on top of that, BBC Three is an extensive network on television; because of it being vastly well-known it attracts a lot of audience, which is a major advantage for us as it will help with the ratings and the outcome of the show.
Another reason we would like this show to be aired on the BBC is in order for the audience to be able to catch it up on BBC I Player if they do happen to miss it. The day we wish for it to broadcast is on a Friday at 9:00pm because that is the time and date the majority of entertainment programs tend to air and it is isn’t too late for the average on the target audience range as the show will end at half 9; in addition to this, because the next day is the weekend, the average of the audience in all probability mightnot go to bed till at least 11:00pm will leaves them to watch whatever else they want to watch on that specific day.
The intended audiences for this program are initially celebrity fans meaning people who are immensely interested in music, movies, sport, Fashion, Gossip and individuals who will perhaps fall in between aged 16 – 34, predominantlyat C2 – E on the demographic scale.
To prepare a schedule for the show, we have researched BBC Three’s top popular shows that are a hit with the ratings, we came to a decision that before our program begins it will broadcast two episodes of  ‘Snog Mary and Avoid’ from 8pm to 9pm simply because of the concept of the show and how it is about taking an individual who outrages their look and giving both gender a complete makeover by making them look as natural as possible and considering this involves fashion, in a way there are particular similarities that reflects to ‘Celebrity Latest’ as we are both trying to influence people about different variety of looks.
The show that we have chosen to air after ‘Celebrity Latest’ is ‘Russell Howard’s Good News’ which is a topical comedy show featuring Russell Howard himself who offers his unique perspective on the huge stories dominating the media across TV, Online and in print. We decided that we want it to be broadcasted after our show as it contains strong language and the show is fairly similar to ‘Celebrity Latest’ as we are both trying to inform people about the latest news. Both shows are comparable but also varied at the same time.
The mode of address that is suitable for the show would be a combination of formal and informal language as we don’t want the presenter to sound too well spoken and we also don’t want them to talk less well spoken. We are looking to hire two presenters who are a male and a female and one will be aged 20, the other aged 25 which isn’t too old or too young, therefore they can both relate to the intended audience’s age. Both presenters will have a mixture of formal and informal dress sense, preferably a blend of vintage and modern clothes.

The idea we have in mind of what the set is going to look like is bright, strong, colorful, stylized image which will feature many articles and celebrities on the wallpaper. The theme song that will appear as the show begins will be exciting, fun, catchy and enjoyable for everyone to listen; it will represent the show as it is also gripping, entertaining and enjoyable to watch.
During the show, it will contain five different VT that cuts in between the program once we begin to discuss the topics; the five diverse video tapes are called Fashion Rebound, Social Impact of YouTube, The Life of Britney Spears, The Rise of FC United, and Comedy Impact which are all approximately five minutes long each.
The purpose of having these VT’S is to add other flavours into the show that will please both gender so that the show doesn’t just look like it’s targeted at women, we want men to be interested in the show as it offers the type of subject they’re interested in as well as what women are also interested in, therefore we hope it will satisfy everyone.
The first VT that will be aired is ‘Fashion Rebound’. The title may have given you an hint of what it’s about however the VT is purely about vintage fashion and the whole cycle of fashion in general, as we are in the 21st century, vintage shops that were immensely popular during the 80’s have now been brought back into our century and has certainly been as highly common as it was around the 80s. We’re talking about Retail shop ‘Urban Outfitters’ which originally included vintage clothes have now combined with modern fashion and have reformed a new clothing line which includes both vintage and modern clothes.
The second VT will include ‘Social Impact of YouTube’.
As we all know, a popular way of getting notice by people in the music business is by uploading a short clip of you singing and hoping someone from the music business will watch it. It also helps if you a vast amount of viewers who has seen
the clip and may have recommended you to others who have then done the same to others and so on, this helps as the person they have recommended it to could also be part of the music business and if they like what they saw it could lead to offering you a record deal.
There are many famous people out there who have been discovered this way, these people include Justin Beiber, Esmee Dentes, Dondria, Cody Simpson, Mia Rose and many more. Some of these people didn’t just get discovered for singing, some were by playing piano on YouTube and many other instruments.
The purpose of having this short VT is to target the people who are interested in music, some may be passionate about it and this video tape could help persuade them to do the same things as the artists above did if they really feel strongly towards music.
The third VT that will also be contained on Celebrity Latest is ‘The Life of Britney Spears’
 Many people are aware that the hit me baby one more time singer has had a tough time over the years, there has been many articles written about her music life and personal life, there has even been many speculations about whether she is fit to look after her own children, whatever the story is; Britney Spears has been in the public’s eye ever since she released her first album ‘Baby one more time’ back in January 12 1997 and till this day she is still an international pop icon and “is famously one of the oldest teenager pop has ever produces, almost middle aged in terms of focus and determination” says Barbara Ellen of The Observer.
The key reason of adding this VT on is to show the fans of Britney who could be young audience who aren’t aware of as much information about her life unlike the middle aged audience who were around during the time of her appearance in the music industry. This short clip will display how she has transformed from when we first laid eyes on her back in 1997 till this day. This VT will include a range of Vox Pops, sources of imagery, archive as well as interviews. 
The fourth and final VT that will be involved on the show is ‘The Rise of FC United’ which will display the full background of Manchester United football club, the VT will contain where the head office is centered and where press conferences take place, it will also feature how they have arisen over the past few years and are still at the top of their game, it discusses the past and present information about the amount of leagues they’ve won and lost as well as other vital data needed.
This VT will consist of numerous sources of imagery, a footage, archive, several Vox Pops and interviews included.
The purpose of comprising this VT on the show is to provide the male audience the sort of topic they might be interested in and to evidence that the show isn’t just aimed at women; it features a variety of subject that will also interest the male audience.
The fifth VT that will be included is Comedy Impact; this will show how comedy has differed over the years and how it’s made a made an immense impact on society today. It displays comedy programs including friends, My Wife and Kids, Raven and others and how it’s influenced the new comedies we now see on TV, it demonstrates what ideas they have taken from the old comedies and has been applied on the new ones.
Celebrity Latest is a brand new way of discovering all the latest gossip you need to be alert of, this show certainly covers that; it aims at both gender, it’s exciting, amusing, fascinating and entertaining and hopefully if it goes on air it will get a lot of people talking and will be as broad as we believe it can.

My Television Editor Role

My name is Shadia Oseni and I am a Film/Television Editor. My role consists of being responsible for gathering raw material into a completed product appropriate for broadcasting. The piece editors work with may contain raw camera footage, sources of imagery, Vox Pop, Interviews, dialogue, sound effects, graphics and special effects.
This is a vital role in the post-production method and the editor's abilities can conclude the quality and delivery of the final product. The editor may be part of a team and they will frequently work closely with the director to attain the desired conclusion outcome.
The majority of film/video editors are employed on a freelance basis, working on temporary agreements for post-production studios, television companies and corporate employers. Editors may work on a selection of productions comprising feature films, television programs, music videos, corporate training videos or advertisements.

Roles in production

Presenter:
The presenter’s role is to inform the audience of all the latest news including showbiz, political news, sport and more. This is because it applies to all audience in case some are only watching for a specific topic. The presenter has to read it from the auto queue as it provides all the information the audience needs to be aware of about the latest news.
Floor Manager:
The Floor Manager’s role is to listen to the order given by the director, then he/she has to repeat it to the rest of the crew on set so that they are aware of what they have been requested to do.
Director:
The director’s role is to give orders to the floor manager if there’s anything wrong with the shots they are taken or whether there are noises in the background that’s interrupting the filming, he/she can pass this information on to the floor manager who then does the same thing to the rest of the crew on set.
Sound:
This role in particular is to be ready for when he/she needs to apply any sound effect or music in the background that’s needed for the specific scene.
The Vision Mixer:
The Vision Mixer’s role is to be aware of when he/she needs apply blackout in the scene and when to switch it off, to complete this, the sound helps as he/she in charge will know turn the music off to allow the vision mixer to know when he/she has to apply blackout.
Camera 1,2,3’s role is to capture all the camera angle of the shots including the left, middle and right, therefore it covers all the required things the audience need to view on set.
